Change of Name
London, 10 February 2023: Sirius, an African focused oil & gas production, development and exploration company, is pleased to announce that it has commenced the process to change the Company’s name to Tende Energy plc.
This process is being undertaken over the coming weeks and the Company will update shareholders accordingly when it is completed.
Commenting, Bobo Kuti, CEO of Sirius Petroleum, said: “Tende Energy will represent our new identity both corporately and operationally. We embark on a significant year of growth for the Company, and we are delighted to be working in partnership with all of our stakeholders across our operated and non-operated assets.”
About Us
The Company is an Africa-focused oil and gas development, production and exploration company, and is building a range of diversified producing and development assets including the producing OML65 licence through a joint venture with COPDC, onshore Nigeria and a 10% interest in ATOG in Tunisia, consisting producing onshore fields and development offshore fields.
The Company operates in partnership with local partner COPDC, the prolific onshore OML65 block which is currently producing 10,000 bbls/d and is located within the Greater Ughelli Depobelt, Niger Delta. Sirius is developing the producing Abura field through a fully funded Phase 1 Approved Work Programme consisting up to 9 new wells, designed to increase oil production by a further 11,000 bbls/d.
